Hitfix Gregory has it Confirmed: 'Twilight Saga: Eclipse' doing pickups with David Slade, not reshoots

Rumors and gossip have followed the "Twilight Saga" ever since the first film created an uproar at the box office a year and a half ago. From the personal relationship between the stars to who will direct which sequel, it's been a non-stop job for Summit Entertainment to put out one fire after another. That continued today.

This morning Canadian gossip site Lainey Gossip reported that reshoots of two key scenes for the forthcoming "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" were occurring in Vancouver next week. The pundit also floated that because of "creative differences" with the studio director David Slade wouldn't oversee the reshoots and that former helmers Catherine Hardwicke ("Twilight") and Chris Weitz ("New Moon") could step in instead. Because the outlet is based in the city and has been correct on a number stories regarding the franchise before, many media took the report with a hint of credibility which was a mistake.

HitFix has learned that Slade, who is currently overseeing the film's score in London, would be headed to Vancouver himself to film what are obvstentively pick up shots, not reshot scenes. Pick up shots are cut into already completed scenes and can be necessary because of anything from bad lighting, a faulty print or a missing expression or line that was determined in editing. Reshoots insinuate a completely new scene being inserted into a picture.

Additionally, a Summit spokesperson told HitFix that the shoot has been planned for months, the picture is not in "trouble" and, in fact, the studio thinks it may be the best of the three so far. Considering, this writer has heard praise for "Eclipse's" script, that's easy to believe. The spokesperson also noted that reshoot timing is three days or less, is not a lot of material and furthermore, they do not involve the meadow scene or any action scenes whatsoever.

Fans will be able to decide their opinion on Slade's vision for "Eclipse" when the film opens nationwide on June 30

Dear Twi Friends: Can't we all just go back to this Happy Place???

I TOTALL AGREE With @callsignC30 - the bull shit is getting very old!  Did we come to Twitter to do nothing more than be TOTAL Dumb Ass Bitches????  Or did we come to Twitter to find other tweeps that love The Twilight Saga, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and other cast members (maybe Jaspers Army????? *wink*)??????  I came to Twitter a mere year ago simply because of my love of TWILIGHT, and I have come across some really great folks!  One I have already met, and will be seeing again in June along with another twitter buddy that I will be meeting for the first time, and I am ecstatic about this #FANGIRLTRIP.  Plus I have a lot of Twitter buddies that I tweet and converse with on a daily basis, and if given the opprotunity I would love to meet them as well!  But let me tell you this much, while I will not back down from a good debate, argument or down right FIGHT, and I truly mean that!!!!  I can dig with the best of you, I promise!!!  I am getting SOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of this TOTAL BULLSHIT on Twitter!  AND no, I shouldn't have to quit tweeting, or unfollow or block people because of their stupidity!!!

The THREATS and the LEGAL shit is beyond UNREAL my lord folks we are REAL people and yes, so are Rob, Kristen, Kellan, Peter, Jackson, etc. etc. etc..... but they are CELEBRITIES and you know what??????  They really could probably not give a rats ASS about what we have going on in our Twi Fandom!!!!  And I promise you, Rob Pattinson would not be shagging any of  you (I do not include myself in this because I am a happily married woman that just happens to love the world of Twilight and think that RPattz is a handsome young man, with whom I have no love affair with what so ever other than my Twi Obsession), so why does it matter if he is in a relationship with Kristen Stewart or not?  I happen to truly believe he is, but if I were to find out today that beyond the shadow of a doubt that he is not, guess what......I will be okay, I'll continue to live my life and I will still have my TWI Obsession intact, I promise you that!  Because you know what I don't live in that world!  If I were closer to his age, and not married and not a mother, I still WOULD NOT have a chance, you know what I mean?????

SO why do we have to tear apart our wonderful Twitter world with all this CRAZINESS??  This is ludicrous!!!!  It's truly okay to be a Robsten, A Nonsten, A Idontgiveadamnsten or even Switzerland, truly it doesn't matter!!  What does matter is the PURE EVILNESS that has taken over Twitter and the Forums and all the plain and simply psychoness (is that a word?)  I mean it has gotten beyond absurd, and it has made me sick to my stomach! Like I said, I will not back down from a good debate, argument, or fight and I will still rant and rave when I've had enough, but I would TRULY Love to get back to what I came to Twitter for in the first place

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG???????????

Robert Pattinson Getting Last Laugh for 'Remember Me'

Pretty boy “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson got a little roughed up by the film critics for his movie “Remember Me,” with Emilie de Ravin. But Rob may be getting the last laugh now that the box office numbers are rolling in.

“Remember Me,” about a troubled youth attempting to deal with tragedy, is slowly working its way around the world, opening in such far flung country as Argentina and Australia.

So far, the film has grossed $45.7 million at the box office, which obviously isn’t anything close to 3-D blockbuster “Avatar’s” billion dollar plus take. But “Remember Me” only cost $16 million to bring to the big screen.

Experts predict the film could do as much as $60 million worldwide, when all is said and done. In relative terms, that makes it a box office success, especially for a film that received lackluster reviews, mainly for the plot.

Rob felt a special connection to the film and felt it was something that had to be made. But the shear force of his popularity is probably driving the numbers.

Pattinson stars as Tyler Hawkins, who lives in posh Manhattan but is estranged from his successful father (Pierce Brosnan). Tyler is alienated and resentful, but he soon finds someone he can relate to. (Emilie de Ravin).

The film also includes Lena Olin, Ruby Jerins, Chris Cooper and Tate Ellington. “Remember Me” was directed by Allen Coulter from a screenplay by Will Fetters, and they are getting most of the bad press.

In its worldwide trek, the film opened in Argentina, France and other European countries this past weekend, and was a hit in Paris. It came in at No. 6 in the City of Light, which is not bad for an American film.

The drama’s international weekend take was $4.7 million at 2,302 screens in 36 territories, bringing its international box office to $27 million.

The film made back its money before even going overseas. So far it has grossed $18.7 million in North America, bringing the total to $45.7 million.

The film’s top foreign markets before last weekend’s openings were surprisingly Russia ($3.15m), Italy, ($2.35m), Germanyn ($1.9m), Brazil, ($1.71) the UK/Ireland ($1.5m) and Australia ($1.21m).

Going foward, the film will open in several other countries, from Chile in South America to Turkey.

And it has yet to open in several top Asian markets, such as China, Japan, and South Korea.

All in all, not a bad showing for a small indie film, and Rob’s first outing as a lead in a movie outside of the “Twilight” series — and without Kristen Stewart.

Rob will be back in vampire form, in June when the latest “Twilight” installment “Eclipse” is released.

An oldie but goodie interview! Hayley Williams & Robert Pattinson - My Space Artists on Artists

"I can play Bella w/o my hair, I couldn't play Joan w/o cutting it"

Kristen Stewart Talks About Her 'Eclipse' Wig

'I can be Bella without my hair, but I couldn't play Joan without,' she says of cutting her locks for 'The Runaways' role.

Taylor Lautner wearing a wig in the "Twilight Saga" isn't anything new to fans of the franchise, but due to a Joan Jett haircut for her latest film "The Runaways," Kristen Stewart also had to don a wig for "Eclipse."

"It was fine. I've worn wigs before, just not with such ... I just felt such a tactile thing with Joan [that I cut my hair for the role]," she told MTV News on the red carpet of "The Runaways" premiere. "She holds all of her energy in her hands. I can be Bella without my hair, but I couldn't play Joan without."

And while some teenage girls would not have been too eager to chop off their locks, Stewart said she didn't have an emotional attachment to her strands. "I think Dakota was more emotional than I was, to be honest," she said. "She, like, almost cried when I cut my hair. It was something I needed to do. I needed to feel the sweat coming down my face and, like, I needed to be able to touch it. I just needed to do it."

The bond between Stewart and Fanning went far beyond that of just hair — the girls admitted that they became really good friends while shooting the flick. "It would have been really awful had we not [gotten along]," she said. "It is really rare, I have to say. I've worked with so many young people. I've met so many young people, actors, and everyone's different. Everybody's doing things for different reasons. I strongly admire [her]. It's cool."
